Sustainable Supply Chain Management

We comprehensively and systematically manage all levels of suppliers, actively urge suppliers to improve their ESG performance, work together to build a green and responsible supply chain, and promote the coordinated development of economic, social and environmental benefits.

By implementing the "Supply Chain Procurement Cost Control" project, we closely monitor market price fluctuations and use advanced analytical tools and methods to improve the foresight and accuracy of price forecasts.
Establish a "supply chain procurement volume assurance" project, conduct in-depth assessments of the impact of international anti-circumvention investigations , and respond to the complexity and uncertainty of the international trade environment .
By improving our overseas localized supply capabilities, we not only meet the changing market compliance requirements , but also further consolidate Trina Solar's global market layout and enhance the company's international competitiveness.

Supply Chain ESG Requirements

Supplier empowerment and training

Trina Solar's 10th Supplier Empowerment Training Camp

In October 2023, in order to further improve the management of product quality, process quality and flow quality, Trina Solar launched the 10th Supplier Empowerment Training Camp for more than 100 suppliers with the theme of "Illuminating the Future with Quality and Building a New Ecosystem for the Photovoltaic Industry Together". We empower suppliers from three aspects: lean management, quality and customer success. The main contents include: rapid on-site improvement (lean foundation + seven wastes), value stream, quality control circle (QCC), error prevention , rapid problem-solving methods, 8D, measurement system analysis (MSA) basics, process capability analysis, etc., to help Trina 's quality management reach a new level.

Supplier Access Ratings

In 2023 , we further require suppliers to communicate the environmental and human rights requirements set out in the Supplier Code of Conduct and the ESG-related clauses listed in the contract to their supply chains.

Supplier Performance Evaluation

Trina Solar has established and implemented the "Supplier EHS and Social Responsibility Management Procedure", which clearly stipulates that procurement personnel should record the supplier's relevant performance in the "Supplier EHS and Social Responsibility Questionnaire".The questionnaire includes an assessment of 56 indicators in five areas: environmental protection, occupational health and safety, fire safety and emergency preparedness and response, labor and human rights, and business ethics and sustainable procurement.

For suppliers/contractors that fail to agree with Trina Solar's EHS and social responsibility requirements, or fail to continuously improve their environmental health and safety levels, or do not focus on fulfilling their social responsibilities, we will propose measures such as requiring them to make rectifications within a specified period of time or terminating the cooperative relationship .
